  1. I was recently at a session. I was working with my new camera. I had checked, ISO, White Balance, making sure my lens looked cleaned before I packed up to go. I took like 50 pictures and I could NOT get them to look clear. I was so perplexed. I looked so amateur as I was going into the deepest settings of my camera thinking “What did I do here!!” Sigh, it was my new lens. I was shooting a 18 month old, and shooting in Aperture Priority…. but my new lens was switched to MANUAL! I felt like such an idiot. After this, I discovered that my hand slides over the switch when I turn my camera on and off, or when I switch from Program Mode to AV or TV. So….. it is now on my checklist!

    1. OH JINA! I’VE HAD LITTLE HAND SLIPS ON SWITCHES BEFORE TOO! ITS A GREAT IDEA TO PERSONALIZE YOUR OWN CHECKLIST FOR YOUR CAMERA AND SHOOTING HABITS! THANKS FOR THE COMMENT!

  2. HI Brooke!!

I love your work and have gained so much inspiration from what you do. It is amazing to see someone else already living the vision that is in your head and you are just in the midst of the journey, waiting to burst out into the big wide world with all your uniqueness!

I just wanted to ask how you do your videos….I am in the process of recording some videos for my Facebook page and love the clean/professional look of your videos. Maybe you could do a blog post on what programs/process you do to put them together? Thank you so much for all that you share. We all know that it’s the uniqueness and authenticity that we each possess that is able to make us stand on our own.

    Keep up your good work!!

    1. Hi Stephanie!

Thank you for your kind words! How do I do my videos? If you’re referring to the Tiny Tip videos:

      1. I had a graphic design friend make my animation intro (skills and software beyond me)

      2. I have a 2nd SLR camera with video that I set up on the tri-pod. I don’t have a suitable place in my house to film with as much natural light and neutral background as I like, so I found a local public building to record in that has huge windows and a big blank white wall. I go when its not busy and set up the tri-pod and just record it by myself 🙂 I do also have a special microphone that attaches to the hotshoe of the camera for better audio.

My other videos are filmed with the same equipment but i have an assistant that does the filming 🙂

I edit everything in imovie 🙂

      Super simple!

      Hope that helps!
