New Years always reminds me of my favorite Anne of Green Gables quote.
“Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it?”
A clean slate. Full of possibility, potential, and new adventures.
I’m all for setting goals, but sometimes I need a new way of looking at things to get me excited.
These are my Top 3 Resources for Starting the New Year with Intention.
1. START LIFE OVER.
This is an amazing free PDF from Donald Miller. I love everything he produces, but this was such solid encouraging advice that felt doable and real.
2. THE THINGS THAT REWRITE US
I loved the honesty in Tara Mohr’s post when she says, “Our culture celebrates the individual that changes his or her circumstances, but we don’t respect as much how circumstances change us.” No doubt that our circumstances have great influence. Whether those circumstances include motherhood, marriage, divorce, job changes, or relationships, they influence us greatly. Tara has a great perspective in how this plays a part in our New Year.
3. LIVING A THRIVING LIFE
My Free mini course on Living a Thriving Life teaches the principles that we all need to thrive. One of my personal favorites is the principle of “pruning”. We are all accustomed to adding more in, but it brings great relief to know that cutting things out is just as important. Consider writing a “Stop Doing” list of resolutions this year 🙂
