The countdown is on…
I’m full term in this pregnancy now! We’re now playing the waiting game! Actually… I probably shouldn’t play that game. I should probably play the “GET READY!!!” game! We won’t even talk about the fact that the only thing I’ve taken the time to prepare is a car seat and bassinet (easy when you order online). I figured if this little guy came early we’d need a way to get him home and get him to sleep! Huggies found out we were having a baby and sent two sample diapers… so Ben and I joke that we’re at least prepared for the first 40 minutes or so of parenthood! After that, we’re not so sure!
Speaking of leaving things to the very very end… thats what happened with maternity pictures. I unfortunately already passed the “gracefully pregnant” stage a LONG TIME AGO. Last week after dinner I informed Ben that he would be taking my maternity pictures in the next 15 minutes. What a good sport! I gave a majorly condensed 30 second “manual” photography lesson and handed him the camera… we walked out the front door and spent another 15 minutes on the porch and front yard in the fastest session I’ve ever had before it got dark!
I think Ben did a great job! He had a pretty bossy subject to work with, and was very patient in following detailed instructions and running back and forth to show the the progress of the images on the back of the screen! What a good husband!
For complete spontaneity, I actually really like the images, and must admit that they really don’t do me justice! I actually look much WORSE in real life! Oh the benefits of knowing how to pose people and angles to use to give the illusion to something more flattering!
Yeah… one trick to looking thinner is to hide your belly 🙂 Sort of defeats the point of “maternity” though! Took me a minute to realize my error, but I still like the images!
My favorite image 🙂
Wish us luck! We’re gonna need it!

the b/w pic is great! you look a lot like your sister in that one for some reason. Tell Ben he’s got a career going for him if he needs after the baby is born and you can’t keep doing it for a while : ) We’re glad you were able to get a little session done before the baby comes! How exciting : ) We’re still quite a ways behind you, but good luck if we don’t connect before the big day happens!
Brooke, You look absolutely stunning! Your husband did a great job, I’m sure he would agree with me that you look just as beautiful in real life as you do in the pictures, if not even more so. You are a beautiful pregnant lady and will be a beautiful mother! 🙂 Congrats again! This time is so exciting!

You look gorgeous Brooke, congratulations!! Your husband did a good job! If I handed my husband my slr he wouldn’t even know how to turn it on, or that there is such thing as a “manual” mode. 😉 I can’t wait to see pics of your lil one!
