Jen+Mitch Beloved

I love things that are real. ย Like real butter, real flowers, real piano’s, real conversation…

And real people!

I met Jen online when she enrolled in my online classes and couldn’t have been more thrilled to meet her in REAL life at the Beloved Collective this past September!

I had the humbling honor of photographing a Beloved Session for Jen and her husband Mitch in the middle of an incredible week of learning all about the Beloved approach. ย The timing couldn’t have been more fascinating!

Beloved is all about being real.

Its about uncovering the real depth and light within each of us.

Its about experiencing real feelings. And nothing beats the real thing.

Jen is an amazing photographer in Iowa and just so happened to beat me in blogging these images ๐Ÿ™‚

Please read about her Beloved experience in her own words HERE.ย  I love her beautiful description.

How grateful I am to know these amazing individuals who are now my dear friends! Thank you both for sharing your early sunrise morning with me!

  1. Brooke, you have made my week!!! Thank you for being my friend, for giving us this special experience, for the precious images, and the perfect music. You have truly been a blessing in my life in more ways than you can possibly imagine. You are wonderful.

    1. Dearest Jen, I feel the same! So grateful to have you for a friend! I love you tons! Thank you for sharing your time and life with me ๐Ÿ™‚ You are delightful!

  2. Ok, I’ve enjoyed your Beloved sessions since you first started sharing them … but for some reason this one feels even more powerful to me. Perhaps it’s because I got to read Jen’s words that went with it. I’ve always been of the mind that I love the process of creating the images for my own wall art so much that I haven’t been inclined to have another photog capture my family. BUT this can’t be captured with a tripod or a friend after I’ve done the settings ๐Ÿ™‚ lol. What better pictures to cover our bedroom wall then our love captured? Love this.

    1. Amen Marcie ๐Ÿ™‚ When I started doing Beloved sessions it was the first time that I felt a true longing for someone else to do the same thing for me and my husband, and you’re right,…its not something that you can set up the tri-pod to accomplish! I traded another photographer beloved sessions so I could have the experience myself and it was so worth it! To get the most from the experience, I couldn’t be worried about what the images looked like and the technical or compositional elements, I had to be present and in the moment and in an environment that was truly focused on sharing with my spouse, not creating the “look” of joy, but actually “feeling” joy ๐Ÿ™‚ It seems that you may need a Beloved session ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰
