Its been so refreshing for me to spend the last few days working on images of MY FAMILY. Love everyone else like I do,… but I love images of my own family even more 🙂
We spent Christmas with the Snow side of the family, requiring lots of travel many many miles for everyone. Such a feat deemed itself worthy of a family photo.
Extended family pictures are hard enough when you’re behind camera, but how do you take this crazy photo and be in the photo at the same time?
Oh the glory of a tri-pod and a very innocent neighbor.
Happy New Year… Late.

An outtake par excellence… I especially love the looks of all the little ones.
Ohh, you are brave! I dread trying to be in and take family photos at the same time. I would love, love, love a remote trigger!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
I love how stoically the grandfather is standing there. As though he is willing the others to shape up and follow suit.
I love it! Perfectly priceless.
oh i love this!! i think i would frame this on the wall over a traditional one ANY DAY!
“Stoic” grandfather is probably trying to figure out how to keep five little boys (2 one-year-olds, two two-year-olds, and a four-year-old) out of the mud puddles on the way back to the cars.
Thanks to neighbor Connie for the quick shutter finger and, especially to Brooke, for the fabulous shoot.
I would frame this really big because it would make me smile every time I walked past it! Love it!
