Ep. 30 The Art of Anticipation

Today’s podcast is lighthearted and fun, and full of creative ideas on how to live your life with more anticipation. Because guess what happens when you anticipate something exciting? You get to experience that feeling twice instead of once, and consequently feel more happy. I call this the Art of Anticipation, because really, it is an art form to build into your life the element of fun things that you can constantly look forward to. If you feel like you could use a little more fun in your life, then this episode is just for you!

  1. What a wonderful podcast! My husband and I look forward to date night every Saturday and we’ve been doing this since our kids were tiny babies. In the hardest days of raising twin toddlers, I would start looking forward to date night already on Monday and it always gave me a boost. My kids love Library Tuesday. We stop at Maverick, grab a treat, walk to the library, then to the park, and it’s something they talk about all week. So Simple! During the summers I Like to plan 1 overnight vacation for every month. They are simple, not that far away, and not very expensive, but looking forward to those events each month keeps excitement in the home.

    1. Oh Marci! you are just fabulous! I love that you already do so well at adding in the ARt of Anticipation into your life! Doesn’t it make a world of difference!? Seriously, having something to look forward to can make all the difference in your week, month, or year! Sometimes we have to create our own light at the end of the tunnel! Those little traditions too, will be what your kids remember from their childhood. Way to be an awesome mom 🙂
