I’m a total introvert.
That doesn’t mean that I am quiet or shy. But I much prefer to stay to myself and am delightfully more comfortable in a small group instead of a crowd.
If its true that opposites attract, this would be shining proof.
Ben loves a good celebration. I remember how surprised/yet not–that I was when I found out that he got “The Most School Spirit!” award in high school. If there was a “No School Spirit” award, I would have won easily, but likely not shown up for the assembly to accept the honor… (since I seemed to skip out on any school gathering and go home…yeah.)
Watching Buzzy develop in his personality has been an interesting phenomenon. I see little bits of us both. Socially, he has seemingly taken more after me. He plays alone on the playground and prefers to do his own thing.
Until this happened:
It was as if this unknown side came out of him that shouted warning bells of “Ladies Man!”. He didn’t even know any of these sweet girls but climbed up next to them and chatted away, flirted, screamed shrieks of delight, and entertained them all evening long.
He definitely didn’t get that from me.
He got the “most party spirit” award the night of the Fireworks.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Brooke Snow is a Lifestyle photographer in Cache Valley, Utah. She prefers to attend parties rather than host them. Actually–the thought of hosting or planning anything is most frighteningly dreadful. Almost nearly as bad as calling someone on the phone. Both, truly near the top of her biggest fears list.
Brooke teaches private photography lessons , online photography classes, as well as seasonal photography classes in Logan, Utah.

Oh my goodness, that is SO cute! He looks perfectly delighted to be surrounded by the ladies!
HAHAHA! That face is hilarious. And all THREE of those girls are eating right out of his hand. Yep. Sounds like Ben.
Brooke, this is awesome! What a cutie 🙂
He’s got mad skills…
I loved reading this post! We seem to be soul sisters in the social department! I also prefer to do my own thing 🙂 Ha ha!
Back in the day, most of Buzzy’s dad’s friends were girls, not necessarily “girlfriends.” There were a LOT of them. We used to call the gatherings…”Ben and his women.” Looks like Buzzy is following suit!
Look at your little ladies man!! Our Brie had a playdate today with some “older men”. This post reminded me of that is so many ways. She was so enamored by these 2 and 4 year old boys and fit in like a champ. Too cute! And, as a fellow introvert it’s certainly been an adjustment to have your child instantly making new friends wherever she goes! I have to be social with strangers waaaaaay more than I would ever choose to be on my own.
That’s pretty much the cutest picture ever. What a cutie!
I’m with you. Happily introverted. I HATE speaking on the phone more than almost anything!!
Maybe we should start an introvert club 🙂 Wonder how in the world that would work into something successful ? ha ha!
