My new podcast, Practicing Wholeness, is now live in the world this week!
It’s been a long time coming.
Fun fact: I’ve been a podcaster since 2015, and this is the fourth podcast I’ve created. (Not to be confused with episodes… yes, this is an entirely new show.)
If you’re thinking, “Wait… isn’t Creator Field Notes publishing three episodes a week right now?” — yes. That content has been pre-recorded and scheduled out for the rest of the year. And I’ve been so eager to finally have a space to talk about what’s alive for me now… that I started a whole new show.
I’m excited to devote myself to exploring the topic of Practicing Wholeness, and this week’s intro episode dives into what those words mean to me.
This new show is different from my past work in a few key ways.
1. I’m letting go of scripting.
This is really pushing my edges, but I also feel that humanness in the age of AI is needed now more than ever. I’m pushing record and seeing what comes out — mistakes and all.
2. This isn’t just informational; it’s experiential.
I don’t know about you, but I honestly don’t need any more information. What I do need is integration. My hope is to provide a bit of both in this podcast.
I realize it may not fit neatly into the typical podcast lifestyle to bring in meditation, journaling, or somatic inquiry — especially when most people listen while doing other things — but I’m doing it anyway. It’s time we integrate instead of just consuming more content.
3. This work is not about self-improvement. It’s about self-acceptance.
The first half of my life was about striving and becoming and fixing myself. I’m now leaning into a softer, more expansive way of living — one rooted in self-acceptance. You will find no shortage of experts telling you how to improve. The art of acceptance is much less explored, and I’m finding it to be (ironically) the most transformative work I’ve ever done.
4. I’m hoping to do at least one episode a month as a live gathering.
I’m tired of podcasting being such a solo experience. I need people. If you’ve ever listened to my past work and wished you could discuss the episode topic, this will provide a wonderful opportunity to do just that. (Details on the first one coming next week!)
I’m excited for this new adventure, and I hope you’ll join me.
You are loved.
Namaste,
brooke
