I started walking with a weighted vest a few months ago.
For years, I had a weighted backpack, but it caused my shoulders to ache, so I switched to a vest to evenly distribute the weight in front and back.
It is so much more comfortable!
In fact, you could say I totally acclimate to the extra weight of the vest and only notice how heavy it is when I take it off.
When I take those ten pounds off my body I’m always amazed at what my body was carrying.
Life is similar.
We tend to acclimate to the emotional weight we carry and think it’s normal. We forget what it felt like to feel lighter.
And unfortunately, too often we carry emotional weight that is unnecessary or not even ours to carry. This takes a toll on our health, our relationships, our nervous system, our mental state, and our hearts.
While there are many ways to lose emotional weight, my new favorite way is through breathwork.
While breathwork can be intense and at times uncomfortable, I have been astonished at how magnificent it is. I use that word intentionally because breathwork MAGNIFIES.
– What is buried is magnified.
– The depth of letting go is magnified.
– The results are magnified.
– The healing is magnified.
This is because we are working on the level of the nervous system to literally repattern your brain. It’s not magic, it’s science. Though you will definitely feel magical by the end😉
