Smart Thinking

Congratulations to Kyanne and Kyle!

Last Saturday was their lovely wedding… and it SNOWED AND RAINED AND BLEW GUSTS OF WIND SO STRONG I NEARLY GOT CARRIED AWAY LIKE MARY POPPINS!

But…

Kyanne and Kyle have a secret.

They had me take their wedding pictures two weeks early!

Guess who has lovely wedding pictures even though the real day roughed everyone up?  Smart thinking these two!

A lot of people  ask me if I shoot weddings.  I do.  But not on the wedding day.

I could list a million reasons why this is such a fabulous idea.  Weather is only one 🙂

If you would like a stress free, relaxed, creative minded, lovely 2-3 hour wedding session on a day OTHER than your wedding day… let’s get together!

  1. I so wish I would have done that. It rained. I mean really. really. rained on my wedding day. My dress was dirty, my hair was sopping wet and sticky. We have like 2 pictures from that day outside the temple.

  2. What a great idea. That way you don’t feel stressed either. It seems like there is just no time on your wedding day to get everything taken care of. If you take your pictures before you can relax and take your time. I love it.

    1. Ben and I had our pictures done the day before… It was awesome! We totally had fun, had nothing else planned, got our pictures during the best light of the day, got to go to some way cool locations, and then the ACTUAL wedding day? Well, it snowed (and we didn’t care since pictures were already done 😉 and we had a nice relaxed schedule to be able to spend with friends and family and really soak in the wonderful love and support that we had there. It was perfect. As a photographer, its also lovely. I can’t stand working with wedding schedules! And hate to admit that family formals are my least favorite thing in the world too! This is one way I get to happily avoid all that!

  3. So cute! We went to their reception and I thought some of the pictures looked like you did them! =) So pretty. The weather WAS really bad that day– that is awesome that you got them done early!
