Mom & Dads Room [Family Life Project 52]

A visiting family member recently commented on how “bare” Buzzy’s room was.

Why yes. It is bare.

It has a bed and a basket of stuffed animals. Β Thats it.

There are some important reasons behind this.

In fact, they are the same reasons why our master bedroom is bare as well. We have a bed, a painting, and a chair. Thats all.

When someone can tear a place a part in 30 seconds flat, you have to employ some strategy.

  1. This is SOO my life! My girls love to take all of the beds apart in the entire house and make it “snow.” This entails piling all of the bedding, pillows, blankets, etc. at the bottom of the bed, and jumping in. I can’t tell you how many times I make my bed during the week. It’s a lot more than 7, that’s for sure πŸ˜‰

I’m so glad you have documented this! You’ll love having it as a precious memory….or, at least, a really funny exhausting one πŸ˜‰

    1. Somehow, this doesn’t surprise me about your girls πŸ™‚ Gotta love our spirited children right?!?! I miss you, friend!

    1. good eye for detail schwest! Ironically, I just moved the picture in the morning I took the pictures. I did a bit of rearranging to make room for Emil’s new painting in my living room πŸ™‚ You gotta see it!

  2. I love Buzzy! He reminds me of Henry at that age. You’re one awesome Mama, and someday, you and he will laugh about and long for these days. πŸ™‚

  3. Wow, you weren’t kidding that you have a very active kiddo- lol. I wish I could reach through the screen and give him a hug. He is so for cuteness πŸ™‚

  4. Although it can be soooo exhasperating now to have an active little one, it will pays off in other ways! I find when they are like this, they have sooo much personality and insatiable curiousity! My son is now 6 and he is still ACTIVE but he is SMART, SMART, SMART and Witty!! I have a very hard time keeping up with him, at least we can now gear it in a less “destructive” direction! I just quit making beds until he was 5 πŸ™‚ I wish you extra doses of patience and gratitude in those moments of pure exhaustion!

    1. Oh Naomi! Thank you for your empathy and encouragement! I do have a very active SMART SMART SMART kid πŸ™‚ Life is never dull! Sounds like you’ve had the pleasure of the same type of experience! Thanks for sharing!

  5. I love when you post pictures of Buzzy! It makes me feel better knowing my son isn’t the only terror who exhausts me in 5.3 seconds flat!
