Light is more important than location

One of the core principles that we talk about in the Natural Light: From Start to Finish course, is that light is more important than location.

Find the light first, the location second.

You can have great light + a mediocre location = incredible images.

But you can NOT have a fantastic location + poor light = great images.  Just doesn’t work 🙂  I’ve tried both!

These images were from a recent session we filmed for the Natural Light course, all indoors.  And to have a little fun with the idea of light trumping location, we even shot the following series of images while standing in the bathroom shower 🙂

The next registration for the Natural Light: From Start to Finish course opens on this Monday, October 15th.  We’d love to have you join us!

P.S.  These images were all edited using the Visual Supply Lightroom Presets.  They are designed to replicate the look of classic look of film.  I LOVE THEM.
