What to do when you get jealous of your subjects!

After my first two experiences shooting in the Beloved style, I noticed that I kept leaving each session with two profound feelings:

1. Humble gratitude. The experience is just so neat. There really aren’t words to describe how cool it is.

2. Longing. Because it is such a neat experience I longed to be able to share something similar with my own spouse…

But what do you do when you don’t know of a single other Beloved photographer for hundreds of miles? Well, I opted for the fabulous idea of “trade” 🙂

If I could shoot another photographer for a Beloved session, perhaps they could understand the concept enough to do it for me! The ever so fabulous Kristin Brown was a perfect choice, not only because I think she’s an awesome photographer, but I knew she was a Jesh De Rox fan and familiar to a degree with some of these concepts. I’m delighted that Kristin was up for the experience! You can read Kristin’s view of the experience in her own words HERE.

As is very typical of male subjects and husbands in general… Kenny really hates portrait sessions. I promised him up and down that this would be totally different, and I think one of the happiest moments for me was when Kenny declared out-loud with gusto,

“This is the best photo session EVER!!”

I’m telling you all… Beloved is different. Its amazing. And GUYS LOVE IT.

ooh the suspense!
