I have to confess, for many years, I did not do the Holidays very well.
It’s probably an inherited pattern from my childhood, but needless to say, my body knows that it is supposed to get overwhelmed, have a few emotional meltdowns and welcome Christmas morning in a state of depletion and lack. (But to hide it all with a smile.)
Tis the season of “Giving”.
Or in my case, perhaps “over giving”.
Have you ever bottomed out in over giving?
Have you ever felt imbalanced by giving far more than you allowed yourself to receive?
It’s not just the holidays that can ask a lot of us. Life does.
Giving and receiving go hand in hand and they must be balanced in order to be sustainable.
I’ve found the receiving part of the equation is where many of us get stuck. There is an art to receiving. Which is why I created, The Art of Receiving course. It’s the perfect time of year to feature this course and I just released Lesson 1 on the Co Create app.
From now through Christmas, I’ll be dropping a new lesson in this course each week and my great hope is that it helps support you in being a generous giver this time of year…because generous givers are made by those who have something to give because they have also been spacious receivers.
Because this is such an important topic for me, I made the first lesson available for FREE on my Co Create podcast. I am committed to being a spacious receiver in the next six weeks so that I don’t end the year in depletion, but rather I greet the New Year with a full heart.
Would you like to join me in this challenge? When you subscribe to the Co Create app you’ll gain immediate access to the course. I’d love to see you there.
You are a creator. Let’s Co Create something great!
Namaste,
Brooke
P.S. You have so much to give. Part of what The Art of Receiving does for us, is help us be able to see our own gifts. We don’t see them clearly in a state of depletion. Ironic? Or maybe just a divine strategy to help us care for ourselves so we can see what we have to offer and keep the cycle going? Mother Nature is so wise.
