Halloween Scrooge

I think there are unfortunately, many signs that I must be the Halloween Scrooge.

No decoration.

No candy purchased.  (Don’t ask how we appeased trick or treaters, please.)

Thrown together $3 thrift store costume for Buzzy that didn’t fit or match whatsoever.

No trick or treating.

No festivities.

No treats.

No corn mazes, pumpkin patches, or costume carnivals.

“Happy Halloween, 2010.  You didn’t come at a very convenient time this year.  Maybe next year will be better.”

Even though I am obviously the worst mom in the world, and my sweet little boy sort of looks like an eclectic orphan child…

he’s obviously happy.

And that’s all that matters.

  1. I’ve never been much into Halloween either. In fact, I am guilty of thinking about buying clearance candy after Halloween to save for next years trick or treaters :0 – I haven’t ever actually done it. Simply because I don’t like paying to give other people’s children cavities.

I don’t care what you say though, Buzzy looks ADORABLE! And he’s totally happy and having fun, so that’s TOTALLY all that matters! =)

And might I add, I love that your hubby participated in this little mini photo shoot! So dang fun!

  2. I haven’t read your post yet but I have to comment and say that these pictures are completely adorable and put a huge smile on my face! That costume is outstanding! Oh my heck…the bow totally makes me Smile and your little guy is adorable! 🙂
