Magic Monday: A little more of less

The New Year has officially come and I have already pondered many goals, resolutions, confessed areas that need change, and am still in the process of the fabulous year in review and planning stages for 2011.

blah

blah

blah.

But you know what?

As I strip everything away, one small idea seems to penetrate amongst all the cluttered resolve.

I want a “a little more of less”.

I want more productivity out of less time

I want  fabulous pictures with less shutter clicks

I want to love photography more by accepting less work

I want to feel more gratitude for the little things

I want to write better posts with less words

I want more awareness by taking little breaks

I want stronger relationships through small acts of thoughtfulness

I want more energy from small nutritional changes

I want more direction from the the still small voice

the key?

Intention.

Intention: purpose: an anticipated outcome that is intended or that guides your planned actions

I want to live with more intention.

Its the only way to do more with less.

Somehow this image I took over the weekend suited my feelings for doing more with less.  Thanks to my ‘ol high school friend, Brooke, for modeling.

How could intention help you achieve more through less?

Brooke Snow is a Lifestyle photographer in Cache Valley, Utah. Brooke was named after her mothers childhood dog, a prized show Collie who was constantly mistaken for the famous Lassie.  Ironically, Brooke is not a pet lover.  Despite growing up on a homestead of cats, dogs, horses, birds, and a back yard of cows.  Correction.  Brooke seriously loved one bird.  The neighbors pet cockatiel, Zachary, whom they would occasionally care for while they were on vacation.  Any pet who consistently whistles at you when you walk in the room despite what you look like is easy to love.  Perhaps someday she’ll find a Zachary of her own.  Until then, she’s content with a pet free home, a cheerful husband and a wild one year old boy full of mischief.

Brooke teaches private photography lessons , online photography classes, as well as monthly photography classes in Logan, Utah.

  1. Beautifully said and what a lovely idea! The idea of living with intention, in all aspects of my life, really speaks to me and I’ll be using this for myself. Thank you! 🙂
